Isovanillin-[U-Ring-13C6] is an isotope compound of Isovanillin. Isovanillin is a selective inhibitor of aldehyde oxidase. It is not a substrate of that enzyme, and is metabolized by aldehyde dehydrogenase into isovanillic acid.
