Thiobarbituric Acid Reactive Substances (TBARS) Assay Kit is an assay kit for quantitative detection of TBARS in serum, plasma and tissue homogenates using a microplate reader. TBARS and TBA can react under high temperature and acidic conditions to form a pink compound, the concentration of which is linearly related to the concentration of TBARS in the sample. The TBARS concentration can be calculated by measuring the absorbance at 530-540 nm.
