Anti-ALKBH1 Antibody
ALKBH1 is a DNA lyase that is critical for DNA repair and specifically repairs alkylated single-stranded DNA and RNA containing 3-methylcytosine by oxidative demethylation. ALKBH1 can also cleave both single-stranded and double-stranded DNA at basic sites, and ALKBH1 can induce double stranded breaks at basic sites. Finally, ALKBH1 plays a role in placental trophoblast lineage differentiation during development, and ALKBH1 may also play a role in neuronal development and migration. ALKBH1 is widely expressed and localizes to mitochondria and nucleus.
