Total Antioxidant Status (TAS) Assay Kit
Total Antioxidant Status Assay Kit is an assay kit designed for the detection and quantification of Total Antioxidant Status (TAS) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and urine using a microplate reader. ABTS can be oxidized to green ABTSâ‹…+ using an oxidizing reagent, which can be reduced to colorless ABTS in the presence of antioxidants. The TAS of the sample can be determined and calculated by measuring the absorbance of ABTSâ‹…+ at 660 nm. Trolox is an analog of Vitamin E and has a similar antioxidant state to that of Vitamin E. Trolox is used as a reference substance for total antioxidant status.
