FGF-10 is a heparin-binding growth factor categorized within the FGF family. This family of proteins is crucial for prenatal development, postnatal growth, and tissue regeneration by facilitating cellular proliferation and differentiation. FGF-10 shares its closest relation with KGF/FGF-7 and is prominently expressed during development, particularly in adult lungs. Its signaling predominantly occurs through FGFR 2b.
