Applications |
Hydroxymethylcellulose is widely used as an excipient in pharmaceutical preparations, including oral tablets, suspensions and topical preparations. Its properties are similar to methyl cellulose, but due to the presence of hydroxyethyl cellulose, it is easier to dissolve in water, the aqueous solution is more compatible with salt, and has a higher coagulation temperature.
|
Safety |
Hydroxymethylcellulose can be used as an auxiliary material for various oral and topical preparations, and it is a basic non-toxic and non-irritating auxiliary material.
