Scolopendrasin II

Scolopendrasin II is a synthetic peptide derived from the centipede Scolopendra subspinpes mutilans. Scolopendrasin II has antibacterial activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacterial strains, including yeast Candida albicans and antibiotic-resistant Gram-negative bacteria, and has no hemolytic activity. In addition, scolopendrasin II can bind to the surface of bacteria through specific interactions with lipoteichoic acid and lipopolysaccharide.
