Human Anti-S. aureus LTA Recombinant Antibody (clone A110); Fab Fragment
Provided is an anti-LTA human/mouse chimeric antibody A110. The chimeric human antibody directed against LTA is opsonic and enhances survival against sthaphylococci. In addition, the antibody promotes clearance of the sthaphylococci from the blood. Thus antibody to LTA provides prophylactic and therapeutic capabilities against staphylococcal infections and vaccines using LTA or peptide mimeotopes of LTA that induce anti-LTA antibodies would also have prophylactic capabilities.
