Galeterone
Galeterone is an orally bioavailable, small molecule androgen receptor modulator and CYP17 lyase inhibitor with potential antiandrogenic activity. Galeterone exhibits three different mechanisms of action:
1) Acts as androgen receptor antagonist
2) Acts as a CYP17 lyase inhibitor
3) All of this may lead to reduced androgen-dependent growth signaling by reducing overall androgen receptor levels in prostate cancer tumors.
