methylmalonate-semialdehyde dehydrogenase (CoA-acylating)
Also converts 3-oxopropanoate into acetyl-CoA. The reaction occurs in two steps with the decarboxylation process preceding CoA-binding. Bicarbonate rather than CO2 is released as a final product.
