Methyl 4-((4-carbamoylpiperidin-1-yl)methyl)benzoate is an intermediate in the synthesis of 4-((4-Carbamoylpiperidin-1-yl)methyl)benzoic Acid (C183345), an impurity of Revefenacin (R279600), which is a long-acting muscarinic receptor antagonist which may be useful in the treatment of respiratory diseases. It is also used in the preparation of pyrazolopyrimidine compounds as SK channel blockers for treatment of irritable bowel disease, Alzheimer type-dementia, and other diseases.
