PVP is used as a carrying polymer for electrospinning continuous titania nanofibers and zirconium tungstate ultra thin fibers. PVP may be used as one of the constituents in the synthesis of silver nanocubes. It serves as a reducing agent and colloidal stabilizer in the synthesis of palladium nanobars,triangular and nanoplates.
