| Explanation | Potent and selective amylin receptor antagonist that displays 38-fold and 400-fold selectivity over calcitonin and CGRP receptors respectively. Through attenuating the activation of initiator and effector caspases in vitro, it blocks amyloid β-induced neurotoxicity.
