Convallatoxin

Convallatoxin is a cardenolide used in the treatment of congestive heart failure. It may also be used in the treatment of tumor cells at nanomolar concentrations due to its anti-proliferative effects, in particular, human lung cancer. Convallatoxin ameliorates colitic inflammation via activation of PPARγ and suppression of NF-κB.
