TRX-0237 mesylate
TRX-0237 mesylate is a second-generation tau protein aggregation inhibitor applicated for the treatment of AD (Alzheimer's disease) and frontotemporal dementia. TRX-0237 is the purified form of Methylene Blue, an old drug that has being widely used in Africa for the treatment of malaria, methemoglobinemia and other conditions for a long time. TRX-0237 is the stabilized, reduced form of methylthioninium chloride to improve the drug's absorption, bioavailability, and tolerability. TRX-0237 is in Phase I for Parkinson's disease, Phase II for Progressive supranuclear palsy and Phase III for Alzheimer's disease and Dementia.
