β-Rutinose can be used as an intermediate in the synthesis of Isorhoifolin (Diosmin EP Impurity C), that is a naturally occurring flavonoid which was shown to exhibit potential antidiabetic, antihyperlipidemic and antioxidant effects. as well as it is an extract from the medicinal plant, Viola tricolor, for the potential treatment of acne.
